Last year, I got a Nikon D60, after graduating from university. Part was some money I had saved up on my internship, part was my parents pouring in. Cost me hefty. But its a beautiful camera. It came with a kit lens. I was happy as a lark. Lenses and speed lites were too expensive for me to ask my parents to buy. Soon enough I got a job. 4 months on, I have a SB600 speedlite, and newly acquired 80-200mm F2.8 Nikkor, and a 200-500mm Tamaron with a 2X converter. And ofcourse a 50mm 1.8F which I still have to return to Fahim and get my own.

But whole point of this blurt. I have a nice collection. Now I just need to start shooting more.

Dubai – Stripped

Having traveled often from Karachi to Islamabad the sight of ‘black spots’ in the city scape a couple of thousand feet from above is often. The load shedding practices of our authorities leave a tell tale mark one can spot from space. But as the flight banked left, I was dazed by lights. Odd, I thought to myself, there’s no area where there is a blackout currently in progress. The voice booming around the cabin reminds me, I am landing in Dubai. This is my first time and I have heard so much. I rub my hands together in anticipation of what the city holds.

The airport, bright with lights and glass was strikingly ultramodern.

Dubai 2010

Went to Dubai last week. Trip lasted 5 days. All the flash and glamour burst my tiny bubble. Meaning to write about it, but I get intimadated by a blank page now. Plus cant figure out if it should strictly be a travel log. Thats not my style, so I wont force it upon myself.
